Wow, I don't understand a thing about Superbowl, Saints, etc, but I do understand the importance of this title to New Orleans' people.
ReplyDeleteI am very happy for you all! Enjoy the victory!
By coincidence I have just arrived from the cinema, where I watched Clint Eastwood's film "Invictus", in which Nelson Mandella (played magnificently by Morgan Freeman) uses Rugby to promote the union of the South Africans. Sports have this power of breaking walls, creating an amazing sense of wholeness. I love it!
Have a lovely Monday!
Thank you, Claudia! It has so much to do with who we are, who people perceived us to be after Hurricane Katrina, and the never-ending hope of rising above the miasma, to fly and soar across the skies. Sorry. I'm getting real saccharine right now. Can't help it. Don't really care. I'm crying and laughing all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteGlenn,
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, BE HAPPY!!!!
I'm ecstatic. It was enough that they were THERE. They didn't have to win. BUT THEY DID!
ReplyDeleteWhen a dream comes true everything else seems possible and this is priceless!
ReplyDeleteYeah :-)
